Dear PCC Singers,

Well the one thing you can say about this hot weather is that it sort of takes your mind off the Caronavirus. I was born and raised in Texas and though I know it's coming; I can never fully prepare myself for the extreme heat of August. It's no wonder why so many Texans flock to Colorado and I may do so soon!

Your board of directors met last Thursday evening for their monthly meeting, and we welcomed our newest members. Mandie McMurdie (S1) has been actively working on the North Texas Giving Day committee for a few weeks now and has agreed to take over all our social media efforts. Wow! She has some great ideas and a terrific plan in place that will help keep PCC at the forefront of our patrons while we continue to wrestle with COVID 19. Merritt Felmly (T2) is our new treasurer and has taken over the day to day financial activities of the chorus from Ean Sullivan. Merritt has a keen eye for numbers and will make sure that our books balance each month.

Greg Greenman, husband of Sandra Greenman (A1), is now on the board as our overall financial advisor. Greg will make sure that PCC continues to follow all proper accounting procedures. He'll also work with Jennifer Jafari on preparing financial statements for the many grants she services. Debi Klein (A1) joins the board as our secretary. Shell take all board minutes and correspond with board members regarding action items. Debi was the secretary for the Dallas Symphony Chorus board of directors for several years and worked with PCC former president, Russel Young. She knows well the inner workings of a large community chorus. Please welcome these new board members! There are other open board positions that need to be filled and several committees that could use your help. Please consider volunteering and help us maintain PCC's solid stature in the North Texas Arts Community. Please contact any board member for more information!

North Texas Giving Day is September 17 and our NTGD committee has been proactive in getting this year's campaign up and running.  PCC President Bob Koehl has set a goal of $30,000...lofty yes, but very doable! Mandie, our new social medial guru needs your help in a fun project for NTGD...
